Susie just may be the best trainer in this area. She cares about her students and teaches them more than just good horsemanship. I can tell you I’ve seen most of the trainers in this area over the last 10 years; non can compare to Susie’s dedication and passion to make a difference to the young ladies she trains. She truly cares about the student and the horses equally. This barn is first class top to bottom. We are so blessed to have her train our daughter and board our horse. Highly recommended!!!!!

"I board, show and take lessons with Susie and i have nothing but good things to say about her farm, the way she runs her business and her feeding program. First off, the farm is absolutely beautiful. Footing is always in the best shape possible and it is dragged and watered at least once a day, sometimes even twice. The barn is very elegant yet still very functional and is always kept clean. Every measure is taken to ensure that the grass is kept in the best shape possible and horses are given a great amount of time in beautiful grassy pastures. My horse has not been the easiest keeper in the past, specifically in the winter, but now his weight looks better than it has ever before. (You are more than welcome to look at my profile at pictures of him if you would like to see.) The training is very professional as well. Susie allows you to learn a lot but still have fun while you're taking lessons, which was a must for me. Susie is very focused on the specific needs of each horse and rider and each lesson based around their personal needs. When my horse came to Susie, we had just stopped eventing. My horse went really fast and i was not able to control him at first, but within 3 months of her training me how to work with my horse and not against him, he has turned into a successful hunter. Susie makes showing a complete blast, i have shown with her around 10 times and each one has been very successful and a fantastic learning experience for me and my horse. I have gone to Waco to show with her and enjoyed every second. I am very happy with this barn and trainer and would definitely recommend!"

Susan is one of the absolute best trainers to ride with. I've been riding with her for years and has helped me grow as rider. She is also a very wonderful and understanding friend to me.

The barn itself is wonderful and the horses are all great! I've been to other barns, there good, but because we are a little smaller here everyone is like family. The time I spend training with Susan is more personal so I don't feel like I'm not getting the focus I need.

"SCC Farm is an amazing business. It is run by an amazing trainer with a huge heart for animals. I came here with little experience. Susie helped me up my confidence and become a better rider. Most barns have plain and boring lesson horses. Not here! These horses have real personality and make a great bond. I definitely recommend this barn for beginner and advanced riders!"

"I have already seen a huge difference in my four year old Thoroughbred since he has arrived at SCC Farm in just the short month he has been there. The close knit friendly environment is a great place not only for the horse but also the rider. Susie has done a great job with his training and socialization. Susie has also been great with encouraging and helping along my riding which has been very helpful. Overall this is a great place for horse and rider. Thank you Susie!"

Susan has been involved with horses her entire life. At the age of 12, Susan began her horseback riding career in the A circuit riding with the best, Joan Watermen and Peter Pletcher.

By the age of 15 she was competing around the country winning championships and grand championships from Texas to North Carolina. She continued her horseback riding with a scholarship to Baylor University for their equestrian team. There she expanded her knowledge of riding, dressage and training horses. However, due to a back injury Susans' career at Baylor ended sooner then she expected. With her back injury healed, Susan continue her training career at Saddlebrook Equestrian center. There, Susan developed her teaching style and knew that was what God wanted her to do. After working there for over 2 years, Susan began to branch out on her own and started her own barn. Scc Farm is a wonderful place to be. My daughter first began here with Susie a little over a year ago and I am so thankful that we found it. After a rough start at another barn, my daughter came to Susie with very little knowledge in riding. Susie took the time to work with her, teaching and encouraging her to become a better rider. Now my daughter has been to shows and has placed in everything she has competed in. I don’t know if my daughter would still be riding today if it wasn’t for Susie. If you are looking for an amazing trainer and amazing horses, this is definitely the place you need to be at!
